18th Blue Diamonds Emblem
: A light blue lozenge (diamond shape) within a narrow yellow border. The lower half bearing a white cloud formation shaded gray and outlined black, surmounted by a blue demi-sphere with a diagonal, to viewer's upper left, white grid lines and black rim. In the upper half of the lozenge a stylized black dart trailing a wedge-shaped white and black vapor trail. Below the lozenge a black blank scroll.
Significance: The Globe alludes to global mission the clouds represent all-weather capa­bility. The dart plane form symbolizes modern and projected aerospace vehicles. Welcome to the 18th Blue Diamonds Reunion Site

The 18th has a long heritage dating back to World War 2. The squadron was initially activated in April 1942 and was deactivated in 1995. It has been a long 17 years since the 18th was last deactivated.

This is the original metal C-141 Yoke medalion.

The medalion measures 2 7/8" tall by 2 1/2" wide. It will ship with the original packaging.

100% of the net proceeds of this sale will be donated to benefit the 70th reunion of the members of the 18th Airlift Squadron located at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, in September of 2012.
